Abstract:
A reflection is made on the construction of eco-citizenship in the District Educational Institution Colombia Viva located in Bogotá D.C. It seeks to understand how eco-citizenship could affect the development of citizenship, community participation and the influence on the environmental problems of young people, a qualitative study is proposed that will include interviews with focus groups, field research, class activities and others with students 10th and 11th graders whose ages range from 14 to 18 years old. It meditates on the concept of citizenship and forms of environmental education. The context and history of the school are located within a process of the evolution of the environmental handprint. It is concluded that by using the different concepts of Environmental Handprint, significant changes can be achieved in the Community that will be represented in the recovery of the Quebrada Chiguaza.
